About Us

Pierce Church is a growing and vibrant church family located in Upland, IN. As a community-oriented, intergenerational church, we have a large mix of local families, retirees, young couples, and college students from nearby universities.

At Pierce, we encourage each other to follow Jesus faithfully in order to experience the tangible power and presence of the Lord. If you're looking for an laid-back atmosphere which to worship and learn about God in a community of faithful Christians, we have a place for you!

Our Beginnings
Upland United Methodist Church

Our church has a history of over 100 years in Upland, IN. The original building of the Upland United Methodist Church was built in 1904.  Shortly afterwards according to church records, “revival commenced. The great revival stirred the entire community; there were 350 converts and the meeting ran on for three weeks.”

In 2013, with the church growing quickly and needing more space, plans began to relocate to the former Pierce Governor factory in town. The doors to the Pierce Campus opened to the public in December 2017.  Following this transition, we embraced the name of Pierce Church in honor of our new location and in anticipation of how God would transform us in this new season.

Pierce Today

Over 100 years later, God is again doing a wonderful work in both Pierce Church and the community at large. Since 2020, our congregation is experiencing great growth, both in terms of the number of people who attend, and the spiritual depth of the ministries we offer.

In a time of continual change and instability in our society, we are a place where people can come home to hear the Good News of Jesus proclaimed again and again. We offer a place of connection with other believers that goes beyond sitting next to each other during a sermon. We’re a community that desires to integrate our faith in all aspects of life. We are committed to taking the Gospel to the Upland community and beyond, confident that the hand of God is guiding us forward.
